Encadena issues one invoice per WooCommerce order, at the moment you choose (by default, when the order is paid).

Full or simplified?#

SituationInvoice type
The customer gave a valid Spanish NIF, NIE or CIFFull invoice, F1
The customer gave an EU VAT number or a foreign tax IDFull invoice, F1, with the foreign ID
No tax ID and the total is within your limitSimplified invoice, F2
No tax ID and the total is above your limitHeld until you add the customer's tax ID

Simplified invoices may be used up to 400 EUR (VAT included) in general, and up to 3,000 EUR for retail and the other activities listed in RD 1619/2012 art. 4.1. The AEAT also rejects simplified-invoice records above 3,000 EUR (AEAT "Validaciones y errores" v1.2.2, item 15.8). Set your limit in Settings and confirm it with your adviser.

What is a held order?#

When an order is above your limit and has no tax ID, Encadena does not issue an invoice the AEAT would reject. The order gets a note and the Verifactu invoice box asks for the NIF. Type it, save the order and choose Verifactu: issue invoice in Order actions.

How are numbers built?#

  • One counter per series and per year, so each series restarts in January.
  • Default pattern {series}{year}-{number} with six digits, for example T2026-000001.
  • Separate series for full invoices (F), simplified invoices (T), rectifying invoices (R) and rectifying simplified invoices (RT). You can change them.
  • A number is only used when its record is saved, so a failed invoice never leaves a gap.
  • In the test environment numbers start with PRUEBA- so they never collide with real numbering.
  • The AEAT does not accept the characters " ' < > = in invoice numbers, so Encadena removes them from series.

How are taxes broken down?#

One line per VAT rate, built from the taxes WooCommerce stored on products, shipping and fees. The AEAT accepts rates of 0, 2, 4, 5, 7.5, 10 and 21 percent. Lines without tax are declared as you choose in Settings (not subject N1 or N2, or an exemption E1 to E6). Ask your adviser which is right for you. Recargo de equivalencia amounts are not added automatically.

Can I issue an invoice by hand?#

Yes: choose Verifactu: issue invoice in Order actions, or run wp encadena issue <order_id>. An order never gets two invoices.
