Update BankBridge
How BankBridge updates arrive in WordPress, how to update safely on a store that takes payments, manual updates from your account, and rolling back a version.
Last updated by the PluginLoom team
BankBridge updates show up on the WordPress Plugins and Updates screens like any other plugin, as long as your license is active. On a site that takes payments, update on a staging copy first, then update live at a quiet time.
How do updates arrive?#
When your license is active on a site, WordPress checks PluginLoom for new versions and shows them with an Update now link. Updates are included for one year from purchase. After that, the plugin keeps working but new versions stop until you renew.
How do I update safely?#
- Read the changelog on the BankBridge product page.
- Back up your site files and database.
- Update a staging copy first, if you have one.
- In Sandbox on staging, run one bank connection and, if you use them, one WooCommerce order and one MemberPress signup.
- Update the live site at a low traffic time.
- Run one live connection to confirm.
Can I update manually?#
Yes. Download the latest zip from your PluginLoom account, then in WordPress go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, choose the zip and confirm that you want to replace the current version. Your settings stay in the database.
How do I go back to an older version?#
Your account keeps previous versions under Downloads. Upload the older zip the same way as a manual update. Then open a support ticket and tell us what went wrong, so we can fix it in the next release.
Should I turn on auto-updates?#
That is your call. On a store that takes payments, many teams prefer to update by hand after a quick test. If you turn on WordPress auto-updates for BankBridge, check your site after each release.
Why is no update showing?#
| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| License not active on this site | Activate it in BankBridge settings |
| License expired | Renew in your account |
| WordPress has not checked yet | Go to Dashboard > Updates and click Check again |
| Host blocks outgoing requests | Ask your host to allow HTTPS requests to pluginloom.com |
